About: Volunteer.gov/gov is America’s Natural and Cultural Resources Volunteer Portal. It was launched in 2002, and is maintained by the Federal Interagency Team on Volunteerism (FITV).  Opportunities are available in the public sector and with state and federal agencies. Prospective volunteers can search by opportunity types like Archaeology, Botany, Conservation Education, Wildfire Prevention, and much more.

Take Action: Use the search box on the site’s homepage to find a volunteer opportunity that interests you, find opportunities by state with an interactive map, or read about featured organizations and agencies.
